CDS Research Areas

The research of Professor Körber and of the EWIR focusses on Competition Law/Antitrust Law (all aspects: prohibitions against cartels and abuse of power, merger control in the German ARC and EU competition law; in particular competition law questions of the digital markets, internet platforms and gatekeepers; innovation, artificial intelligence and data economy);  Regulatory Law (civil law aspects of energy law (competition law, contract law, consumer law, digitalization with a special focus on heating transformation and AI); telecommunications law (including network regulation, broadband deployment 5G / VHC, digitalization, customer protection, privacy); Law of the Digital Economy (digitalization and data economy; internet platforms; Digital Markets Act (DMA); AI;  competition law aspects and data related aspects of contract law, media law, copyright law and patent law; standard essential patents (SEP) and FRAND.
